We’re only about 6 months away from the latest addition to the Halloween franchise. Halloween, we’re guessing that’s not the final title, will be slashing it’s way into theaters this October, with an original screenplay by Danny McBride and David Gordon Green. Horror giant Blumhouse Productions is hoping to feed the nostalgia hounds, us included, by brining back original Halloween star Jamie-Lee Curtis as well as director John Carpenter who will serve as an executive producer in addition to composing the score.
The latest addition to the 40 year old franchise is hoping to breathe new life into the mythology, and is ignoring all of the previous sequels and remakes, serving as a direct sequel to the cult-classic original.
There’s no trailer yet, though Curtis was on-hand at Cinemacon this week and debuted the first footage to rave reviews. The first official teaser poster was released online, so we should be getting the first trailer within the next month or so.
